Mondelēz gets one of the world’s first large scale handling unit management implementations
Mondelēz International is a multinational confectionery, food and beverage conglomerate based in the United States which employs over 100,000 people worldwide. Mondelēz International's portfolio includes several billion-dollar brands such as Cadbury (acquired in 2010) and Milka chocolate, Toblerone, Oreo cookies and Trident gum. The company, with an annual revenue of about $36 billion, operates in more than 80 countries.
We loved working with (the then) Cadbury Schweppes on their global SAP implementation. Who wouldn’t want to work in a chocolate factory!?
Over a five year period we provided the design authority for Cadbury Schweppes’ global template and were a main part of the SAP Logistics Execution (mini) roll out teams
The initial implementation in the Asia Pacific region was one of the first large scale SAP handling unit management implementations in the world, but after that there was no time for a Time Out. We continued the roll out to the USA Dr Pepper plant, then to a number of sites slightly closer to home across the UK, Ireland and France.
As well as implementing a selection box of SAP WM functionality with mobile capability to give their system a Boost, we designed interfaces to link third party logistics systems and auto-palletisers and implemented a robust subcontract model.
Do you need help from some (not so) miniature (SAP logistics) heros?
